AI4ALL: Youth Solidarity Through Ethical Tech & Digital Inclusion is a local volunteering project funded by the European Solidarity Corps, implemented over a 12-month period, from March 2026 to February 2027, in a rural context in Portugal, with a particular focus on the community of Mira and surrounding areas.
The main objective of the AI4ALL project is to promote digital inclusion and ethical awareness of artificial intelligence by empowering young people and local communities with essential digital and critical skills.
Through AI4ALL, the project aims to reduce digital inequalities by making complex technological topics, such as artificial intelligence, online safety, misinformation, and algorithmic decision-making, accessible, practical, and relevant to everyday life. The project places a strong emphasis on ethical technology use, digital rights, and social responsibility, ensuring that technological development does not leave vulnerable groups behind.
AI4ALL seeks to develop key competencies among young people related to digital literacy, critical thinking, communication, facilitation, teamwork, and active citizenship. Using non-formal education as its core methodology, the project delivers interactive workshops, intergenerational activities, awareness campaigns, and community-based learning spaces that encourage participation, dialogue, and experiential learning.
In addition, AI4ALL empowers young volunteers to become digital solidarity agents within their communities, enabling them to design and deliver educational activities, create accessible learning materials, and lead awareness-raising actions targeted at seniors, young people, migrants, and other groups at risk of digital exclusion. By doing so, the project strengthens youth leadership while fostering more inclusive, informed, and digitally resilient communities.
